SIRIUS Accelerator: Applying for Arts Council Funding for Artists and Curators

SIRIUS is organising a workshop to assist artists and curators with their preparation of applications to the Arts Council, particularly the Agility Award and the Bursary Award. The session provides an overview of the funding landscape in Ireland and offers tools to present a practitioner’s profile and core concerns of work, present an idea and set of activities, construct feasible budgets and prepare supporting documentation. The session is also an opportunity to share materials for focused feedback. The workshop is led by SIRIUS Director Miguel Amado.

SIRIUS Accelerator is a professional development programme for artists based in Cork County and beyond. It consists of workshops and presentations on themes such as fundraising, curation, writing and production. It is led by SIRIUS’ members of staff and guest speakers.

Accessibility Note

Our building has accessibility limitations. There are three steps to the front door and a temporary wheelchair ramp is available upon request. Our toilets are also accessed via stairs and are not open to visitors. Public toilets are beside the Titanic Experience, by The Promenade.
